Manish Gupta and Ruchi Agrawal are two individuals who decided to collaborate and create Matr Boom meaning "Motherland" in the native Indian language Sanskrit. The two were passionate in breaking the poverty chain faced by the fashion industry workers in India. Manish and Ruchi began in India partnering with grassroots organizations to transform unskilled women and men into community artisans. They have personally ensured that the materials and processes used in production were safe for people and kind to the land.
