These baskets are woven by hand from split and twisted elephant grass, using azo-free dyes and undyed goat leather handle. To reform any “dents” in your basket, moisten (in the shower for a moment, or dip in water) and then reshape.
Artisans in Bolgatanga (Northern Ghana) weave these baskets to create opportunities and to challenge systems that work against the disadvantaged.
