This Aloka Cupro Scarf is light and luxurious. Cupro is a soft fabric made from the inner fibers of the cotton seed. It looks and feels like silk but is light like cotton. The sage and indigo colours are perfect to dress up a pair of jeans, or can be worn with your favourite dress!
These scarves are made by embroidery artisans in Northern India who can do the fine handwork in their homes. This gives them the freedom and flexibility to work when it is convenient for them, allowing them to earn a sustainable livelihood from their craft. These women have formed their own micro-finance groups so they can handle local financial needs without involving high-interest money lenders.
