Simple in its design but powerful in its impact, this Aura Bowl is handmade using age old grass-weaving techniques by artisans in Rwanda. The medium bowl is the perfect way to bring a pop of tradition into any space. Made with dried sisal grass and natural dyes, this piece is bold enough to make a statement yet classic enough to withstand the test of time.
These woven bowls are created from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin in the middle of the basket, carefully threading the sisal around and around to create this beautiful design. The tea color is created when the naturally-white sisal fibers are steeped in Rwandan-grown tea leaves!
