This item is of fair trade which allows for the spirit of sustainability and resourcefulness to be honored with the artisan communities. Matr Boom meaning "Motherland" in the native Indian language Sanskrit was made by Manish Gupta and Ruchi Agrawal as they were both passionate in breaking the poverty chain faced by the fashion industry workers in India. They partnered with grassroots organizations to transform unskilled women and men into community artisans and have personally ensured that the materials and processes used in production were safe for people and kind to the land.
